Measuring Brain and Body Signals

We use a high density, active electrode EEG devices to record brain and body activity from healthy people and patients

Our lab is equipped with a 96 channel state-of-the-art Actichamp EEG system with active electrodes. The first projects using this new system are under way.  We want to understand how the myriad of sensory information received by our brain and body is processed online and how it gives rise to intelligent behavior that adapts fast to changes in the environment. A fascinating question in this direction is characterizing the interplay between body and brain signals as a result of changes in environmental input. Together with UCL colleagues, we are testing if and to what extent cognitive processing depends on this interplay. Besides this work, we also collaborate with local colleagues at CityUniversity of London on measuring and understanding brain activity during perceptual and decision making tasks. More to follow soon...
